Serie

true_detective
Met stip op nummer 1, de serie True Detective. Deze serie, met Matthew McConaughey en Woody Harrelson, is zo ontzettend spannend! Ze spelen twee detectives die verwikkeld raken in een 17 jaar durende zoektocht naar een moordenaar. Iedere aflevering kom je steeds meer te weten over de twee hoofdpersonen, die ook niet helemaal een zuiver geweten lijken te hebben. De serie zit goed in elkaar, het acteerwerk is fantastisch en verveelt geen moment!

Magazine

Tegenwoordig haal ik veel van mijn inspiratie van het internet, omdat veel bladen voor mij te weinig beeld laten zien, of totaal niet aansluiten bij mijn ‘kunst’ smaak. Het magazine Elephant is eigenlijk het enige blad wat mij nog inspireert. Het is een dik blad, 200 pagina’s, dus eigenlijk koop je iedere keer een boek. Er staan ontzettend veel beelden in met een grote verscheidenheid. Illustratief, grafisch, fotografie, autonoom, installatie kunst…echt alles komt aan bod. Zeer inspirerend!

Snack

vanille-yoghurt-blauwe-bessenMijn favoriete tussendoortje van deze maand is een bakje vanilleyoghurt met blauwe bessen. Het is fris en licht zoet. De blauwe bessen maken het ook nog een beetje gezond! En na een bakje zit ik vol, de ideale snack dus!
My February favorite snack is: Vanilla yoghurt with fresh blue berries.

 

Muziek

metronomyMijn favoriete bandje van deze maand is: “Metronomy”. Ik ken dit electropop bandje pas net, maar het album, “The English Riviera”, wat ik op repeat heb staan, is er al sinds 2011. De muziek is vrolijk en doet me af en toe een beetje denken aan Chk Chk Chk. Dit jaar komen ze met een nieuw album. Hier kun je een clipje zien (geregisseerd door niemand minder dan Michel Gondry).

Stijl

Dit is mijn favoriete look van dit moment! Een zwierig rokje met een blouse (gejat van vriendlief) Wel draag ik deze look met een dikke zwarte panty, want ik heb nou eenmaal niet de benen van deze dame…

Film

Fruitvale Station vertelt het waargebeurde verhaal van Oscar Grant (Michael B. Jordan), die op 31 december 2008 wakker wordt en voelt dat er iets gaat gebeuren. Wat weet hij niet, maar hij grijpt de kans aan om zo veel mogelijk goede dingen te doen als hij kan. Het is geen feel good movie, het is ook niet de allerbeste film die ik ooit heb gezien, maar het verhaal raakte me en de film is zeker de moeite waard om te kijken.
My February favorite movie is: Fruitvale Station.

 

Kunst

aardvark-arnhem
Afgelopen maand logeerde ik bij een goede vriendin in Arnhem. Ze vroeg of ik het ‘Feestaardvarken’ van Floentijn Hofman al had gezien..eh nee, maar het klonk goed, dus we liepen erheen. Het grappige aan dit kunstwerk vind ik het idee, dat je totaal onverwachts een massive (30 meter lang) aardvarken ziet liggen. Vooral de feestmuts doet ’t m voor mij, daar word ik wel vrolijk van!

Deze maand ben ik druk bezig geweest mijn website voor mijn bedrijf Mevrouw de Haas te vernieuwen. Man o man, wat een werk, maar uiteindelijk ben ik best tevreden met het resultaat!

    Het tijdschrift Elephant kende ik trouwens niet, ik ga maar eens even een kijkje nemen, het klinkt heel interessant!

    Ik heb hun album ook een aantal jaar geleden te vaak opgezet. Wat ik me pas realiseerde toen de bovenbuurvrouw kwam vragen of het volume iets omlaag mocht…. Oeps!

    Ik vind de unicorn + quote zo leuk, heb er direct mijn bureaubladachtergrond van gemaakt. Fantastisch!

  8. Wat leuk om ons Arnhems feestvarken langs te zien komen op jullie site! Ik woon in Arnhem en vind hem ook zo tof haha, ook omdat het een kunstwerk is waar kinderen op mogen spelen! Daar houd ik wel van =)

  9. Dat feestvarken in Arnhem vind ik echt super leuk. Ben gek op varkentjes, in mijn gang hangen meer dan 400 lijstjes met varkenskaarten erin :-). Ik verzamel inmiddels geen varkentjes meer, maar heb nog een grote bak vol met beeldjes….wil ze niet zomaar naar de kringloop doen, maar weg gaan ze wel. Maar mijn hal blijft zoals het is.

    1. Bedankt Carin! En als je hbo hebt kun je True Detective kijken, misschien ook via Netflix. Maar dat weet ik niet zeker!
