Het zijn wat chaotische weken bij Team Confetti (dit was de oplettende kijker vast niet ontgaan) en daarom is het af en toe wat anders dan anders. No worries, als al het stof weer is neergedaald en alle schema’s weer gelijk lopen, gaat alles terug naar het normale schema. Tot die tijd doen we even lekker waar we zin in hebben! Vandaag bijvoorbeeld een Het is weer maandag door moi (Olga) over de heerlijke manier waarop Lena Dunham haar boek promoot.
Lena Dunham is o.a. bekend van de serie Girls. Die serie is waanzinnig. Ik kan niet uitleggen waarom, elke keer als ik een poging doe, kijken mensen me aan met een blik van: ‘dit verkoop je zo slecht dat ik het nu ECHT niet wil kijken.’ Dus dat doe ik maar even niet. Neem het maar gewoon van me aan.
Lena heeft binnenkort haar eerste boek uit en ter promotie van haar boek, heeft ze haar publiek gevraagd om hun persoonlijke vragen naar haar op te sturen, zodat ze er een aantal kon beantwoorden. En dat doet ze zo fijn! Ze heeft in totaal 12 vragen beantwoord. En die staan hier uiteraard allemaal onder. Want ik doe niet aan selectie, dat weten jullie inmiddels wel. ;)
De manier waarop ze de vragen beantwoord is ontzettend prettig. Ze beantwoord ze met humor, oprechte interesse en vanuit haar point of view. Ze zegt zelf: ‘No, I am not a sexpert, a psychologist, or a dietician. But I am a girl with a keen interest in having it all, and what follows are hopeful dispatches from the frontlines of that struggle.’

Lena is een erg inspirerend mens zonder al te veel gene en bovenal iemand die toegeeft ook maar wat aan te rotzooien. Geweldig om zo’n rolmodel voor jonge vrouwen te zien. Ik heb haar boek besteld tijdens het schrijven van dit artikel en heb het over een weekje in huis, jay!

Ben vorige week weer aan een paar marathonsessies Girls begonnen, helaas zijn de afleveringen veel te kort en ben ik nu al bijna door seizoen drie heen :( Haar boek ga ik ook zeker bestellen, 1 november komt ze een lezing geven ism Opzij en dan wil ik natuurlijk wel mijn boek laten tekenen!
