Super easy basil oil recipe!
Basilicum olie is een heerlijke toevoeging voor salades, over pizza of door je soep.
Zo maak je in een handomdraai je eigen basilicum olie!
Om de olie te maken heb je nodig: olijfolie en verse basilicum, that’s it.
All you need is olive oil and fresh basil.
Knip een stuk of 5 takjes basilicum af en verwijder de blaadjes.
Blancheer de blaadjes, door ze 10 sec. in kokend water onder te dompelen
en direct daarna onder de koude kraan af te spoelen.
Cut about 5 twigs and remove the leaves. Blanch the basil leaves.
Neem 200 ml olijfolie (201 ml mag ook…) Doe de basilicum in een blender en giet de olie erbij, terwijl dat ie aan het blenden is. Je kunt de basilicum naar smaak fijn laten hakken, ikzelf vind het altijd wel lekker wanneer je echt nog wat stukjes basilicum terug kunt vinden in de olie.
Put the leaves in blender and add 200 ml of olive oil. Stop blending when structure of basil seems right (This is personal, I prefer my basil a bit chunky).
Giet het in een flesje en bewaar het in de koelkast. Je kunt het direct gebruiken, maar na 1 dag is de basilicum smaak veel beter doorgetrokken in de olie. Sommige mensen zeggen dat de olie slechts één week houdbaar is, anderen zeggen 3 weken…zelf houd ik het op 2 weken.
Pour the oil in a bottle and store it in the fridge (max. 2 weeks).
Het is ook lekker over een gebakken ei, een geroosterd broodje of over je pasta!
