Yay! Onze eethoek is compleet! Een paar weken geleden liet ik in een photoshopschets zien wat ik van plan was. Het is her en der een beetje anders geworden, maar een enorme verbetering is het in ieder geval. Onze eethoek is nu ruim, knus, gezellig en clutter-free. Benieuwd hoe dit stukje van ons huis eruit ziet? Kijk dan mee. Pssst, Tetkees hing weer eens model uit. Het zal ook weer eens niet zo zijn… ;)
Tadaaaaa! Dit is hoe onze eethoek er nu uitziet vanuit de woonkamer. En we zijn er zo blij mee hè? Het is er nu licht en ruim en door de ronde tafel valt het niet meer zo op dat onze muren schots en scheef staan.
Tom en ik wilden erg graag een ronde eettafel en dankzij Eyoba is dat is gelukt! En ik wilde ontzettend graag een tafel met een wit tafelblad zodat food foto’s een frisse ondergrond zouden hebben. Yes, that’s right, dat is waar ik aan denk als er nieuwe meubels in ons huis komen. Bloggers gonna blog! Hihi.
Het model en zelfs de beukenhouten poten zijn een match met onze stoelen! Jullie weten vast nog wel dat onze stoelen eerst zwart waren en dat ik ze zelf wit heb gespoten. De designerstoelen die officieel bij deze tafel horen vind je hier. De tafel werd snel geleverd en was heel makkelijk in elkaar te zetten. Hij is lekker stevig en o, wat is het toch gezellig om aan een ronde tafel te zitten!
Omdat de ruimte heel wit is, wilden we het geheel graag opwarmen met een houten lamp. Ook mocht er wel een beetje leven in de brouwerij komen en daarom hebben we een stel hele gezellige, grappige plantjes in huis gehaald. In het tuincentrum liepen Tom en ik rond als kippen zonder kop (zoveel om uit te kiezen) en op een gegeven moment had ik een pot in mijn handen en kwam Tom aangelopen met een plant. *Plop* in elkaar geschoven en nu staat hij midden op onze tafel. De mini cactus in de betongegoten pot die ernaast staat is van Gronings designer Tim Vinke, ook een favorietje.
In de vensterbank nog veel meer gezellige low maintenance planten en op het krukje in de hoek staat Alfredo, de meest hilarisch plant die ik ooit heb gezien. Ik denk erover na om googly eyes op hem te plakken voor nog meer personality. ;)
En ook deze meneer zijn we niet vergeten. Want als wij gezellig aan tafel zitten, wil Tetkees ook een plekje in de buurt om te chillen. Stiekem had ik niet verwacht dat hij er zou gaan liggen (want katten gaan alleen op onmogelijke plekken liggen, niet op plekjes speciaal voor hen ontworpen) maar hij heeft er al meerdere dutjes gedaan. Maar nog liever ligt hij op een boodschappentas onder Tom’s bureau tegen een tochtige muur. Want dat kan deze levensgenieter pas echt waarderen…

De ruimte lijkt veel groter geworden en zo voelt het ook echt als je er doorheen loopt. Nee, we kunnen niet met meer dan vier personen samen eten, maar eerlijk gezegd, gebeurt dat ook bijna nooit. Want koken voor zes mensen, eeeeeeeh, dat doe ik alleen met kerst. Bij mijn ouders. Een tafel voor 7 (!!!) was dus echt nergens goed voor. Ook is het heel erg fijn dat je om de tafel heen kunt lopen, zo kun je makkelijk bij de kastjes.
