In de zomer heb ik al witbiertjes gedronken op het mooie terras van Fellini op het Nieuwe Zaailand in Leeuwarden. Maar ik kwam er ook achter dat je er heerlijk kunt lunchen. Dit nieuwe restaurantje in Leeuwarden verdient een beetje aandacht!
Zoals je op het stoepbord al kunt lezen: je kunt er bijna de hele dag terecht. Alleen je ontbijt moet je thuis eten, daarna kun je hier voor de rest van de dag gaan zitten.
Ik heb alleen geborreld en geluncht, cocktails en diner moet ik nog proberen.
Het interieur van Fellini is ontzettend mooi. Modern en groot, maar door de donkere meubelen ook gezellig. En ik word altijd blij van Eames stoeltjes. Geen echte denk ik, maar mooi zijn ze wel.
Fellini is vernoemd naar de Italiaanse filmregisseur Frederico Fellini. De eerste vestiging van Fellini was in een voormalige bioscoop in Enschede. Dat gegeven in combinatie met de Italiaanse gerechten, leverde Fellini op. Vandaar de opgeblazen Italiaanse (neem ik voor het gemak even aan) filmstills op de wanden.
Zoals ik al zei heb ik al meerdere malen op het fijne terras gezeten, maar omdat het daar nu toch echt te koud voor is geworden, hebben we het feest naar binnen verplaatst. Daar at ik twee HEERLIJKE, dikke bruine boterhammen met carpaccio, parmezaan, rucola en pijnboompitten. Mijn moeder had een lekkere panini met ham, kaas en pesto. En die was zo snel op dat ik er niet eens een foto van kon maken ;)
Het was moeilijk kiezen, ze hebben namelijk erg veel lekkers op hun lunch-kaart staan.
Een paar voorbeelden:
– Foccacia met verse geitenkaas, rucola, walnoten en honingdressing.
– Clubburger krokante kip met kaas, tomaat en rucola, geserveerd met friet.
– Salade met artisjok, proscutto, parmezaan, amandel en groene asperge.
– Pappardelle met ossenhaasreepjes, verse groenten en basilicum.
Zoals ik al zei, kun je er ook dineren. Ik kan niet wachten om de volgende gerechten uit te proberen:
– Gebakken eendenborst op rillete van gevogelte en een jus van sinaasappel.
– Kabeljauwfilet op de huid gebakken met Italiaanse kruidenkorst op inktvis risotto.
– Italiaanse strudel van ricotta, noten, pastinaak en tijm.
– Espresso creme brulee met bitterkoekjes en amaretto roomijs.

Wat leuk hoor. Ik hou wel van die knusse plekjes. Leeuwarden is alleen niet bij mij om de hoek ;)

Dat ziet er mooi uit, die film stills vind ik super. Is het alleen niet erg donker in de zaak? Alhoewel dat ook weer heel gezellig kan zijn voor een intiem diner :). Leeuwarden is vanuit Berlijn nogal uit de richting, maar het water loopt me wel in de mond bij het zien van de gerechten…
Ziet er goed uit! Jammer dat Leeuwarden zo ver is van hier. Wie weet, ooit wanneer ik in de buurt ben!
