In de rubriek IK ZOEK BAAS zetten we elke week drie asieldieren in het zonnetje. Wel te verstaan 1 hond, 1 kat en 1 klein (knaag)dier. Deze lieve dieren verdienen een nieuw baasje, dus een beetje extra aandacht kan geen kwaad.
Deze week hebben we drie leuke dieren uit Dierenopvangcentrum Schagen, in Tuitjenhorn:
Via een uitwisseling met een Spaanse organisatie is Max in Nederland terecht gekomen. Hij was gedumpt in de bergen. Een ruwharige Podenco, op en top windhond dus. Dit is iets waar echt rekening mee gehouden moet worden. Er zit veel jachtinstinct in, dus loslopen zal niet gaan.
Gevoelige en zachtaardige hond die nog wel het een en ander moet leren.
Het liefst wordt Max geplaatst bij mensen die ervaring hebben met dit soort honden.

Roelof is binnengekomen als “verwilderde” kater. Hij zwierf al wat langer rond maar liet zich niet pakken. Uiteindelijk moest er een vangkooi aan te pas komen. In de opvang vond hij het helemaal niets, al helemaal niet om opgesloten te zitten in een quarantaine hok. Inmiddels is deze jongeman (geschatte leeftijd voorjaar 2012) gecastreerd en loopt hij lekker los in de plaatsingsruimte waar hij het goed naar zijn zin heeft. Een tikje afwachtend nog naar mensen, maar goed sociaal met soortgenoten en wie weet kan hij een bij een ‘katvriendelijke’ hond wennen. Hij moet wel straks naar buiten kunnen en lekker de ruimte krijgen.

Houston (de witte) is samen met 7 andere tamme ratjes door een dierenwinkel afgestaan. Ze waren te oud voor verkoop en werden aangeboden bij de Vogelopvang in Midwoud als roofvogelvoer… Houston is vriendelijk, ietsje schuchter nog, geboren februari 2013. 14 augustus gecastreerd en mag vanaf 4 september bij een vriendinnetje.

Mocht je een slecht gevoel hebben bij een asiel, dan is daar geen enkele reden voor. Het is een goede plek om een nieuw huisdier te komen ophalen, maar ook een goede plek om een huisdier naartoe te brengen als je er niet meer voor kunt zorgen.
Ohh wat is Max schattig!
Lief die kat Roelof, dat vlekje op zijn neus is schattig! Dit soort berichtjes maken het me maar moeilijk om er niet op in te gaan… Maar helaas..
Ik wil ook elke week wel in de auto springen om ze op te halen, maar dat gaat inderdaad niet. Het lijkt me zo geweldig als er een keer een lezer is die een van ‘onze’ diertjes adopteerd. Dan willen we wel updates zien!
