Het was alweer een tijdje geleden dat ik heb laten zien wat voor dingen ik allemaal voor HEMA heb gemaakt. Ik stop-motion-animatie er wat op los en maak bijna elke week iets nieuws voor HEMA. Leuk om eens onder elkaar te zetten en er wat meer over te vertellen!
Hoe lief zijn deze baby slofjes? Die met de beertjes zijn mijn favoriet. Leuk dat terwijl ik zelf geen kleine kindertjes heb, ik soms tóch wat leuke dingen van de HEMA baby afdeling mag shoppen. Ik vond het in eerste instantie best lastig om een leuke animatie met babykleertjes te verzinnen, maar toen ik eenmaal de dansende slofjes in mijn hoofd had, was de uitvoering vrij eenvoudig.
Voor de animatie voor carnaval heb ik eerst even research gedaan. Worstenbroodjes bleken niet alleen heel populair in het Zuiden, ze hebben ook een link met carnaval! En het aftellen naar carnaval begint (in mijn beleving) de dag nà de laatste carnavalsdag. Deze ideeën samen met confetti en slingers, leverde deze animatie op. Ik vind het leuk dat het niet zo voor de hand ligt…
Bij deze twee animaties zette ik de camera horizontaal op de grond gericht zodat ik met objecten kon schuiven. Ik heb voor deze ’techniek’ speciaal een nieuw statief aangeschaft (die ik ook voor heel veel andere dingen kan gebruiken zoals outfit foto’s en vlogs). Ook heb ik een mini afstandsbediening waarmee ik van een afstandje een foto kan nemen. Héél handig als je op handen en voeten op de grond ligt tussen de sokken. Plus: de camera verschuift niet omdat ik de knop op de camera niet hoef in te drukken.
Dit vind ik zelf één van de leukste animaties die ik ooit heb gemaakt. Waarschijnlijk omdat klei animaties echte stop motion klassiekers zijn en ik er nog nooit eerder eentje maakte. Vooral het detail van het altijd wapperende staartje van de rode hond vind ik zelf een leuke touch. Dat maakt het beestje nog levendiger. Fun fact: ik heb deze animatie van achter naar voren ‘geschoten’. Want beestjes langzaam veranderen in een balletje is een stuk eenvoudiger dan andersom…
Bij deze animatie gebruikte ik voor het eerst een 2D illustratie uit een HEMA campagne. Ik wist vantevoren niet zo goed wat het effect zou zijn van de ‘bewegende’ bladeren basilicum, maar ik was zo blij met het resultaat! Het lijkt net alsof het vogeltje de beweging veroorzaakt, haha.
De ‘set’ van de animaties zijn meestal vrij eenvoudig in elkaar te zetten omdat ik vaak met kleine objecten werk, dat ziet er ook het leukste uit op social media (de meeste mensen bekijken het op de kleine schermpjes van hun telefoon). Maar soms heeft het wat meer voeten in de aarde. Zo pakte ik mijn halve woonkamer in met pakpapier voor de kussen animatie en schilderde ik zelfs een muur! Nee hoor, grapje, ik gebruikte stiekem een canvas om op te schilderen dat ik aan de muur had bevestigd met tape. Helaas was het canvas een beetje scheef gezakt tijdens het schilderen en moest ik achteraf flink wat corrigeren in photoshop…

Ik vind het heel leuk dat ik bij élke animatie weer iets nieuws leer en dat ik zo creatief mag zijn van HEMA en veel eigen ideeën aan mag dragen. Er gaat heel veel tijd zitten in de voorbereiding (past de animatie goed bij de rest van de campagne, worden de juiste producten uitgelicht en is het echt leuk om naar te kijken?). Maar hoe beter ik de voorbereiding uitvoer, hoe makkelijker en leuker het is om de animatie te maken.

Wat een toffe animaties. Eigenlijk zijn ze allemaal leuk. Mijn twee favorieten: de kleidiertjes en de basilicumboom. Tof hoe die balletjes aan komen rollen en tot heuse kleidiertjes verworden. En wat slim dat je die diertjes teruguit gemaakt hebt. Ook de ‘wapperende basilicumboom’ is een tof effect. En dat dat vogeltje dat er naar toe vliegt. Leuk!
