Aangezien het 26 april Koningsdag is, leek het me leuk om een typisch Hollandse snack; de stroopwafel, een nieuwe draai en koninklijke uitstraling te geven. Deze smeuïge Koninklijke Stroopwafel Cupcakes kun je verkopen op de vrijmarkt, of gewoon lekker zelf opeten!
Benodigdheden (voor 12 cupcakes): Kant en klare muffin mix, 6 stroopwafels, witte rolfondant, oranje snoepjes, gouden suikerparels, glazuurstiften (rood en blauw), cupcake vormpjes en een cupcake bakblik.
1. Snij de stroopwafels in kleine stukjes.
2. Bereid de muffin-mix volgens de beschrijving op de verpakking.
Roer 3/4 van de stroopwafel stukjes door de mix.
3. Verdeel de cupcake vormpjes over het bakblik, spatel de mix erin. Strooi de resterende stroopwafel stukjes eroverheen. Bak dit 20 á 30 minuten in een op 180ºC graden voorverwarmde oven. Wanneer je een breinaald in een cupcake steekt en deze er droog uitkomt, zijn ze gaar!
4. Haal ze uit de oven en laat ze helemaal afkoelen.
5. Rol het witte fondant uit en steek met een glas rondjes eruit.
Leg de rondjes fondant bovenop de cupcakes. Versier deze verder met oranje snoepjes, gouden suikerparels en glazuurstiften. Door de kleuren rood, wit, blauw oranje en goud aan te houden, krijgen de cupcakes al snel een echte Koningsdag look!
Ook met alleen oranje snoepjes en gouden suikerparels zien de cupcakes er al erg feestelijk uit!
Naar mijn idee zou een cupcake best voor 1,50 kunnen verkopen op Koningsdag. Ik heb ze niet verkocht, maar lekker zelf opgegeten en weggegeven aan vrienden.
De stroopwafel stukjes zijn binnenin de cupcake lekker smeuïg en bovenop krokant, NOM NOM!!!!
